In fact, surveys show that this is the case for most people. However, we're still always starting our car, burning gasoline, and complaining that we don't have time for exercise. As is often the case, the solution is staring us right in the face. | ![]() |
Who out there is on an electric bike?
Ask yourself if your legs get numb during long rides. Do you despise traffic? Are your choices for morning disc jockeys limited to "annoying" and "more annoying"? If the answer to any of these is "yes," then join the club. Millions the world over are catching on.
As the technology improves and using electric bikes or alternative forms of transportation becomes more popular, we can expect to see the environmental benefits increase. In densely populated areas, auto traffic could be dramatically decreased, not only reducing emissions but lowering noise levels and improving road safety. In Europe alone official estimates have predicted up to 1,000,000 electric bikes will be purchased in 2010. Numbers for that year in the States reach about 300,000.
